What is the difference between Neurotoxins and Dermal Fillers?2018-12-04T17:50:08+00:00

Neurotoxins are preventative and help prevent and/or smooth out fine lines and wrinkles caused by
facial movement and expressions. Dermal Fillers fill areas of lost volume in the face, to support
and add volume to the face.

How long do Neurotoxins last?2018-12-04T17:50:40+00:00

Typically, Neurotoxins lasts 3-4 months. If you are an avid exerciser (More than 3-4 times a week),
Neurotoxins may last closer to 3 months. Interesting, everyone metabolizes Neurotoxins at a slightly
different rate.

Do Neurotoxin injections hurt?2018-12-04T17:56:28+00:00

They feel like a tiny little prick, mosquito bite, or like squeezing a pimple! A very small needle is used, so the treatment is virtually painless.

Is there any downtime after Botox injections?2018-11-20T17:12:36+00:00

NO! You can resume your day as normal, although we advise that you avoid strenuous
activity, steam rooms and saunas, and other facial treatments for at least 24 hours.
After 4-10 days, you will notice an improvement in your lines and wrinkles, and this result will last approximately 3-4 months.

  • Forehead
  • Between the eyes (glabella)

The discomfort is minimal, and the level of discomfort depends on the treatment area.
However, dermal fillers are prepared with lidocaine, which helps to ease the discomfort. Ice is
also helpful.

How does the treatment work?2018-11-20T17:15:19+00:00

Your doctor will inject small quantities of filler into the treatment area(s). Dr. Frieling prefers to use Juvéderm®, which is the leading facial filler available on the market and comes with a local anaesthetic which makes the process relatively painless.
