Collagen Stimulators
Injectable Collagen Stimulators
At GFaceMD, we offer collagen-stimulating injectables, Sculptra® and Radiesse®, to naturally restore facial volume, improve skin texture, and enhance your overall glow. Unlike traditional fillers that simply add volume, collagen stimulators work beneath the surface of the skin to revitalize your body’s own collagen production, creating gradual, long-lasting results that look and feel completely natural.
Sculptra® uses poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) to subtly rebuild lost collagen over time, improving facial structure and restoring youthful fullness with results that can last up to two years. Radiesse®, made of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres, provides an immediate lifting effect while also stimulating collagen and elastin for continued skin improvement long after treatment.
These treatments are ideal for those experiencing volume loss, skin laxity, or early signs of aging, and can be used to enhance the cheeks, temples, jawline, neck, décolletage, and body contouring. The result is a firmer, smoother, more radiant complexion that develops naturally over time.
Collagen Stimulators FAQs
What are Injectable Collagen Stimulators?
Collagen stimulators, Sculptra® and Radiesse®, are injectable treatments that restore volume and improve skin quality by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that provide immediate volume, these products gradually rebuild the skin’s structure over time for results that look natural and long-lasting.
What is the downtime after a treatment?
Downtime is minimal. You may experience mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites, which usually resolves within a few days. Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment but should avoid strenuous exercise or facial massages for 24 hours.
How do Sculptra® and Radiesse® work?
Sculptra® is made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that helps rebuild collagen deep within the skin. It works gradually to restore volume and smooth fine lines, with results developing over several months.
Radiesse® contains calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres that provide immediate lift and structure, while also stimulating collagen and elastin production for continued improvement over time.
Both treatments enhance skin firmness, elasticity, and overall radiance.
When will I see results?
With Sculptra®, results develop gradually over several weeks as new collagen forms, optimal improvement is typically seen after a series of treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Radiesse® offers an immediate lifting effect, with continued improvement as collagen production increases over the following months.
What areas can be treated?
Common treatment areas on the face include the cheeks, temples, jawline, preauricular area, chin, neck, and décolletage. These injectables can also be used throughout the body to rejuvenate the hands, feet, butt, knees or other areas affected by volume loss and skin thinning.
How long do results last?
Collagen stimulator results are long-lasting. Sculptra® can maintain results for up to two years, while Radiesse® typically lasts 12 to 18 months, depending on the individual and treatment area. Periodic maintenance sessions can help prolong your refreshed, youthful appearance.
